Daily Times-News, The Friday, July 24, 1970 Ira Dean May Ira Dean May, 67, of 339 Meadowbrook Dr.. died in a Durham hospital Thursday afternoon at o'clock following three days of critical illness. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Mrs.. Bessie Shoffner May of Rt. 1, Burlington, and the late Jesse May. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Olive ISLEY May of the home: three daughters, Mrs. Betty Haizlip, Mrs. Ann Wilkinson and Mrs. Jeanette Gibbs, all of Greensboro; three sons, Avery D. May of Shelby, Paul H. May of Rt. 1, Elon College, and Howard V. May of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Mrs. Sadie Tyndall of Burlington and Mrs.. Dalton Clapp of Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, Clifton May of Efland, Ralph May of Burlington, and John May of Rt 1, Burlington; and 12 grand- children. rites will bs conducted Saturday afternoon at o'clock at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington. The Rev. Paul Settle, pastor of NORTHside Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. References
