Imogene Marie Geren, age 96, of Noblesville, IN and formerly of rural Atlanta, IN, passed away November 6, 2018 at Prairie Lakes Health Care at Noblesville.
She was born January 18, 1922 at Lebanon, IN to Verner Rushton and Coila Mae (Tomlinson) Laughner.
She was a graduate of Warren Central High School with the Class of 1939, then enrolled in graduated from the Indiana Business College at Indianapolis, IN.
Mrs. Geren was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church at Noblesville, IN, Noblesville Senior Citizens Organization where she participated in the Sing-alongs Group, Fishers Order of Eastern Star, and the Hamilton County Extension Homemakers where she sang for over 25 years with the Silvernotes.
She married Robert Eugene Geren on November 7, 1941. He preceded her in death March 17, 2009. In addition to her husband and parents she also was preceded in death by a son: Thomas Geren.
Surviving her is a daughter: Rebecca Jean (Allen) List of Fishers, IN, daughter-in-law: Diana Geren of Noblesville, IN, grandchildren: Angela Sheets, Amanda Hood, Courtney Becerra, and Ashley Ray, great-grandchildren: Gavin, Reese, Athena, Quinna, Addison, Katarina and Soledad.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 20650 Cumberland Road, 46062 with Pastor Douglas Gast officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis, IN.
