    Mrs. Imogene Hollenbeck Frakes, 80, died Friday, March 26, 1993, at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo.

    Daughter of the late Stanley Hollenbeck and Lela Robbins Hollenbeck, she was born November 23, 1912 at Illmo, Mo.

    At Steele, Mo. in 1938 she was united in marriage to James Thomas Frakes. Mr. Frakes preceded her in death March 12, 1971.

    Her brother, Wade Hollenbeck, and a grandson, Scott Ellis James, also preceded her in death.

    She had retired from the City of Steele as clerk.

    Mrs. Frakes leaves a daughter and son-in-law, Jean Ann and Hugh James, of Caruthersville, Mo.; a son and daughter-in-law, James Wade and Connie Frakes, of Portageville, Mo.; and seven grandchildren: James Thomas Frakes, Jeremy Wade Frakes, Richard Paul Frakes, Robert Joseph Frakes, Lesley Ann James, Laura Jean James and Beth Elise James.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Frakes were conducted by Rev. James F. McCrary and Rev. Michael Funderburk at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 28, 1993, at the First Baptist Church in Steele.

    Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.

    Pallbearers were Eddie Jarboe, Howard Burns, Mitchell Fisher, Willie D. McDaniel and Harold Mathenia.
