Bio: Ida Schilstra, age 106, formerly of Sheboygan, WI passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Saratoga Grove Senior Living in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Ida was born March 3, 1908 in Chicago, IL to Richard and Nellie (Fennema) Kingma.
On August 30, 1933 Ida and George Schilstra were united in marriage in Chicago. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1985.Ida was a former member of First Christian Reformed Church in Sheboygan and most recently a member of the Faith Christian Reformed Church in Elmhurst, IL. She was active member of her church, a member of the Garden Club, and for many years an American Red Cross volunteer.
She is survived by her three daughters, Carol Sorenson of La Jolla, CA, Judith (Alfred) Rispens of Berwyn, IL, and Marcia (John) DeBoer of Naples, FL; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, George, Ida was preceded in death by her nine siblings; and son-in-law Richard Sorenson.
Entombment at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum at Greenlawn Cemetery, Kohler, WI.
