OBIT: I. Paul Boroff, 87, of Venedocia, died at 3:45 p.m. Nov. 29, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital. He was born April 14, 1916, in Mercer County, to Harry and Annetta Jane Jones Boroff. On April 18, 1942, he married Edith Mearl Workman who died May 10, 2002. Surviving are a son, Paul Leslie (Janell A.) of Van Wert; three brothers, Donald (Carolyn) of Hawkinsville, Ga., Charles of Mendon and Richard (Lois) of Spencerville; a sister, Mildred (Harold) Patrick, Converse; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a farmer and worked 19 1/2 years as a manufacturing engineer at Teleflex Corp., Van Wert. He was a 1935 graduate of Mendon High School and a member of Spencerville United Church of Christ, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Acadia Lodge 306 Free and Accepted Masons, Spencerville Chapter 169 Royal Arch Masons, Delphos Council 72 Royal and Select Masters and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Ronald L. Shifley officiating. Burial will follow at Spencerville Cemetery. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. Masonic memorial rites will be conducted there at 8 p.m. Contributions can be made to the Spencerville Invincilble Fire Company.
