Prior. Humphrey (E. W.), m. Ann (dau. John and Ann Oldage) Osborn, 12 Nov., 1663 (Old Church Record), who died 29 Sept., 1682; he prob. m. again, as Col. Rec., 4, gives record of m. of Humphrey and Mary Whitcomb, no date, but from context, probably 1686; he was a contributor, 2s. 6d., to Conn. Relief Fund, 1676.—(Old Church Record). In 1696/7, he was app. fence warden east side Great River, below Scantic; in 1696 he was collector. It seems prob. that he either ret. to west side of Conn. River, or rem. to Enfield. He lived for a time in Simsbury. It seems prob., also, that the greater part of his est. was in Enf. When an administrator was appointed to his estate, 9 Apl., 1719, the estate was spoken of as 'of H. P., late of Windsor.' — Htfd. Co. Prob. Rec. The Widow Mary P. d. 10 July, 1723.—W. Rec."
