Hugh WILLIAMS was born in a farmhouse "Caemryson", in Rhostryfan village, North Wales, England. He and his family emigrated to the United States in 1850. The boat ride across the Atlantic ocean took 13 weeks. The family moved to Racine Wisconsin for 8 months, then moved to Barneveld and Blue Mound where they took up government land. In the summer of 1852, Hugh WILLIAMS became ill. While digging a grave for a victim of cholera, he fell sick at mid-day, and was dead by nightfall.

There is a note about Hugh and his family living in Blue Mound with there 9 living children... I only have record of 8 children, one died in 1834, and another wasn't born untill 1851...  ???
