Research Note: Cornelia Baillio (aka Mrs Cornelia Legras) was apparently a free person of color in 1850. Interesting to find a Hugh Lynch Baillio (most likely Hugh's namesake) b. 6 Aug 1851; s/o Landry and Clara BAILLIO who were white on the 1860 census. But what is their connection to Cornelia and Hugh Lynch? The researcher states Hugh Lynch was not found in 1860, but Cornelia was in Prineville, Rapides parish, LA living with Michael Legras. Her 1874 obituary called her Michael's "faithful and devoted companion" for many years. Research Note: Somehow Hugh Lynch made quite an impact on the Baillio family which had two cousins named Hugh Lynch Robertson: one b. 24 Feb 1844, Rapides, LA was s/o Henry ROBERTSON and Agalisse BAILLIO; the other b. 1852, Hempstead, AR was s/o Callohil Minnis ROBERTSON and Mary Frances ROBERTS.
