He was born in Alton, Ill., and came here in 1978 after he retired as vice president of sales for the adhesive division of Swift & Co., in Chicago and Atlanta. He was a Navy veteran of World War II with the rank of quartermaster. He was a member of the Regal Palms Men's Club. Survivors include a nephew, Art Streeper, Benson, Ariz.; and three nieces, Toby Emerson, Fremont, Calif., Inous Stilwell, Cloverport, Ky., and Margaret Simpson, Tell City, Ind.
