    GRAHAM, Howard R., age 76, of Lynden, passed away Thurs., Mar. 9, 1995, in Lynden. He was born June 12, 1918 in Ferndale to Howard and Cora (Standley) Graham and has been a lifetime resident. He married Doris Strickler in Bellingham on Dec. 3, 1942. Howard served in the U.S. Army during WWII and received a Bronze Star Medal; was a member of the Camel's Club in Lynden for many years; member of the American Legion,
    Albert J. Hamilton Post #7; moved to Everson in 1956 where he farmed raising row crops. In the 60's, Howard was known by many crop farmers as the Carrot King of Whatcom County. He loved to go hunting and fishing with his friends and family. His prized possession was Becky h is dog. Survived by his 3 daughters: Donna and husband Randy Miller of Lynden, Barbara Jones of Bellingham, and Jackie and husband John Ramerman of
    Lynden; 2 brothers, Stan Graham and wife Dorothy of Bellingham and Gordon Graham and wife Alberta of Bellingham; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Doris in 1974, and grandson Michael. Visitation will be Mon., March 13, 9-noon at Greenacres Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Mon, March 13, 1 p.m. at Greenacres Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Greenacres Memorial Park. Rev. Ron Slater will be officiating. Military honors by the American Legion, Albert J. Hamilton Post #7.
