Howard Harry Brummel was born 25 September 1917. He married Beverly Jean Apel of Detroit on 10 January 1941, and entered the U.S. Army on 13 May 1941, just a few months after their marriage. He was discharged Sept. 20, 1945 and died thirty years later, on 31 December 1975 in Northville, Michigan. Beverly and Howard had three sons, all born in the 1940s, at least two of whom got married.
