From the Will of Jeremiah Wheeler of Stonington, 3 July 1770 "I give and Bequeath unto Hosea Wheeler son of Dorothy Edgcomb (late Dorothy Smith) about thirty acres of Land, be the same more or less, it being that part of a Tract of Land that was my Hond Father's Capt. Thomas Wheeler Decd lying near Lanthorn (?) Hill, that was Divided and set off to me in the Division of my sd Fathers Estate."
