Large gatherings at the Wesleyan Chapel, Parish Church and graveside for the funeral on Saturday (10th). Held in great respect. Member of Norfolk County Council for 23 years. Member of the Depwade Board of Guardians for a similar period. Local Magistrate. Lay Methodist preacher, a circuit steward of the Attleborough circuit, and had served on the synod.
