He moved to Crum Elbow after marriage. He was taxed in 1758 to 1775. He was active Precinc goverment Crum Elbow. Pathmaster # 43 1786 and # 26 1789. April 25,1782 Col Cornelius was Ordained as to office of ruling Elder at the Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church. Cornelius was more involved in the Revolution than his Father. He was commissioned Jne 10,1776. He was Colonel of the 2nd Reginment of Dutchess County Minute Men March 28,1776 to replace Col John Van Ness whom had died. he was a New York State Senator from Dutchess Co 1787 -1789. He accompanied george Washington from PA to New York when Washington was inaugurated president. He wrote his will Feb 20,1811 He was the 1st judge of Seneca County,New York, 1804. He served march 28,1776, as a Colonel in the revolutionary War in the 1st regiment minute men,Dutchess County,new York. He served in the 2nd and 3rd Provincial Congress 1775 and 1776.
