According to 'Descendants of Jonathon Ingley', Ella Mae Wright was the daughter of Hiram Earl Wright (1850- ), son of Israel and Sarah Wright of Franklin Co., Maine, and his first wife Lizzie Hollis. Hiram married Emma J. Fuller in 1876 and had children Gracie Laura and Ernest Fuller. {<http://www.shypuppy.net/databases/getperson.php?personID=I44360&tree=ingley>} Hiram is found in 1870 in his home town of Strong, Franklin Co., Maine, working as laborer. In the 1880 census for Brockton, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts, Hiram E. Wright is 30 born Maine (parents same) 'in shoe shop'; with [second] wife Emma J. 21 born Massachusetts (parents same); and children Ella M. 7; Gracie L. 1; and Ernest F. 5 months -- all born MA (father ME, mother MA). {Page 253A} In the 1900 census for Brockton Plymouth Co., Massachusetts, Hiram E. Wright is 50 born Mar 1850 in Maine (parents same) 'sole leather cutter', married 24 years; with wife Emma J. 40 born Mar 1860 in Massachusetts (parents same), with 2 of 3 children living [sic]; daughter Grace is 21 born Sept 1878 MA (father ME, mother MA), married one year; son Ernest F. is 20 born Dec 1879 MA (father ME, mother MA), single, 'sole res. cutter'; son-in-law Napoleon L. Badeau is 22 born Nov 1877 MA (father Massachusetts, mother Canada), married one year, 'finisher (shoe)'; and servant Clara Johnson is 18 from Sweden. {ed 1111, sh 12b, p.89, roll 673 HeritageQuest} I have not been able to locate Hiram or Emma in the 1910 census. Their son Ernest Fuller Wright married Clara L. Johnson in Brockton in 1901. Their daughter Grace L. Badeau [indexed as 'Badgau' and 'Badran'] is found in the Grafton State Hospital, Worcester Co., Massachusetts, in 1920 as a patient, age 40, (widowed?). Her son is living with her sister Ella. |
