Hiram Baily was born in 1809 and on December 7, 1820 he married Rachel Thomas and evidently after her death he married Martha Teagardner who was born in Maryland in 1806. They were married September 8, 1859. I'm not certain if he had children or not but according to the 1850 census in Wabash Twsp. was listed John M, born in 1835. This was not his son, but a child of his brother.

In the 1860 census there was
a. Manerva Baily, born in 1860.
b. John Teagardner age 12, born around 1848
c. Jacob Teagardner age 9, born around 1851
d. Elizabeth Teagardner, age 6, born around 1854.

In 1870 census there was:
e. Nancy C. Baily born in 1839 and on January 29, 1854 she married Jacob K. Jerman.
f. Milton A. Baily, born in 1842 and on April 11, 1865 he married Elizabeth Kearns. I have no information on his family, only that he passed away May 2, 1917 and was evidently buried at Coopers Chapel Cemetery as he has a military stone there that states that he was in Co.
K. 43rd.Indiana Infantry in the Civil War.
g. Rebecca I. Baily born in 1845
