Will
- Will of Hinchia Mabry Junr.
- In the name of God Amen, I Hinchia Mabry Junr. of Brunswick County & parish of Saint Andrews being very Sick and Weak but of Sound & perfect Memory and knowing its ordained once for Man to Die do make this my last will and Testament in manner & form followety:
- Impremis I give and bequeath my Soul into the Hands of almighty God who give it me hoping thereby to receive Remition? of all my Exors my Will and Desire is that my just Debts be duly paid.
- Item I give and Bequeath to my son Evans Mabry and his Heirs the Tract of Land I bought of Ephraim Mabry.
- Item I give & Bequeath to my Son Seth Mabry and his Heirs the tract of Land whereon I now live.
- Item I give and Bequeath to my son Hinchia Mabry fifty pounds Current Money.
- Item I give & Bequeath to my Daughter Hannah Mabry one horse ___ Saddle price ten pounds and one feather Bed & furniture and the remainder of my Estate I desire to be equally Divided between my four Children when my son Evans arises to the age of twenty one years & I appoint my loving Father Hinshia Mabry & my brother Joel Mabry and Richard Hill of Suford? County Exors of this my last Will and Testament and my Desire is that my Estate be kept together till my son Evans arives at the age of twenty one years and then my Desire is that my Estate appoint Inestive? to Divide my Estate amongst my Children. I likewise Desire that my Children may be educated out of my Estate & I desire that Nisland?__ Stell? may have the Care of my Daughter and I hereby Disannull all Wills heretofore made.
- As Witness my hand and Seal this Second Day of April one thousand seven hundred and fifty five.

- At a Court held for Brunswick County the 27 Day of May 1755
- This Will was presented into Court and made Oath by Hinchia Mabry & Joel Mabry two of the Exors. therein named and proved by the oathes of Andrew Troughton and Joshua Hicks witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded and Certificate granted the said Exors for obtaining a probat thereof in Due form they having with Sampson Lanier & Littleton Tazewell their Securities entered into & Acknowledged Bond in the Penalty of one thousand pounds with Condition According to law and liberty was reserved to Richard Hill the other Exor. therein named to join in the Probat thereof when he should think fit.

1755 May 21 Brunswick Co VA - When Hinchia3 Mabry, Jr. (Hinchia2, Francis) wrote his will in April 1755, he made no mention of any slaves. However, the appraisal of his estate the following month lists: 1 Negro wench, Dorithy; 1 Negro fellow, Robbin; 1 Negro fellow, Henry; 1 Negro fellow, Peter; 1 negro fellow, Ephraim; 1 Negro fellow, Bonser; 1 Negro girl, Truitt; 1 Negro girl and Dinah.
