Granny Hildy was one of the sweetest women I have ever known. I don't have one memory of her just sitting around, She was always in her kitchen cooking or cleaning.
She was quiet and seemed to always be deep in thought or maybe prayer. I know she did not have an easy life growing up and I wish I would have learned more about it before she passed to get "her story" from her. There are things that I have read that I have questions about that will probably never be answered. I will not write about them here because in my opinion most of the stories are hearsay. She was my Granny Hildy" and I just hope she knows how much I love her and respect her.
