Ed, I have a Kizer family who came to Howard

Co.,IN in 1847 from Clinton Co.,OH. By 1854

they were in Richland Co.,Wisconsin. In 1860

they were in Cloud Co.,Kansas. Some stayed in

KS and others went to Missouri. One of the

sons was a Carey Kizer who had married Mary

Pitzer in 1842 in Clinton Co.,OH but she isn't with him on the 1850 census of Howard

Co.,IN. I presume she had died. Carey served

in the Cival War from Missouri and in 1868 or

so he returned to Ohio were he died in 1888.

On the 1880 census of Butler Co.,OH, he has

a wife who is about twenty years younger than

him. Her name was Mary Jane. I don't know

where they were married. There should have

been children by his first wife but I haven't

found any. Does any of this fit with what

you are looking for???? You can see some of

my posts on the Kizer Family Forum.

Regards, David Watson

Thought this may be of interest to persons researching Pitzer in Clinton Co.,Ohio. I have a Carey KIZER who married

Mary Ann PITZER in 1842 in Clinton Co. Mary Ann apparently died young as Carey KIZER was in Howard Co., IN in

1850 with no wife. He went on to Missouri and Kansas but came back to Ohio in about 1868. In 1888, where he is a

resident of Highland Co. and applies for an increase in his Civil War pension. One of the witnesses is a George

PHISTER. They lived at Lynchburg on the Clinton/Highland Co. line. ________________________________________________________________ Name: Hester Driskill Estimated Birth Year: abt 1844 Age in 1870: 26 Birthplace: Ohio Home in 1870: Green, Clinton, Ohio Family and neighbors: View Results Race: White Gender: Female Value of real estate: View Image Post Office: Sabina
