HERMAN M KEEL HERMAN M KEEL MOUNT SAVAGE Herman McKinley Keel, 79, of Jealous Row, NW., Mount Savage, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Union Memorial Hospital, Baltimore. Born Feb. 9, 1921, in Wellersburg, Pa., he was the son of Carrie (Lee) Keel, Cumberland, and the late Sherman Keel. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, M. Margaret (Smith) Keel; two sisters, Betty and Pearl; and four brothers, Roy, Sherman Jr., Leo and Charlie. Mr. Keel was a retired brakeman for the Western Maryland Railroad. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served in Germany and received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was a member of the Mt. Savage United Methodist Church, Old Rail Post 6025 V.F.W., Kemp Masonic Lodge 154 A.F. and A.M., Mount Savage, National Association of Retired Railroad Employees, and the Retired Carman and Guest Association. |
