The will of Abigail Upham, dated 27 Jan 1735/36 [soon after her husband died], names daughters Hepsibeth Upham and Susanna Upham co-executors. In an undated memo, before 18 Sep 1764, when the will was approved, and Ephraim Wesson was named administrator with will annexed, "Hephsibah langly" and Susanna Weston state, "That notwithstanding that wee the Subscribers, were in our maiden state appointed Executors to the Will of our honoured mother Deceased, yet wee utterly decline taking that Charge upon our selves, and pray your Honour's favour in Commiting the administration of her Estate to Ephraim Weston."
