↑ ^3.0 ^3.1 There is a marriage record for Hephzibah in Bolton to Micah Bush of Marlborough: Vol. 1, p. 42, record 6 and an intention here. But there is no mention of Hephzibah or any heirs of heirs in the distribution of her father's estate, and all Marlborough records (birth of three children p. 38 and death of Micah's wife p. 13 from back) give Micah's wife's name as Dorothy. Further, the probate of Person:Jonathan Whitcomb (2) names his daughter Dorothy Bush in 1756, and assent was signed by Micah Bush. Often the minister's return copies the names from the certificate, and if the certificate named the wrong bride...?
