Excerpt from M.G. Weaver's history [1]
- Henry Weber married Maudlin Kendig, daugther of Jacob Kendig, and grand-daugther of Martin Kendig, who was one of the immigrants on the first shipload of Mennonites arriving at Philadelphia, in 1710, and belonged to the first colony on the Pequea, under the leadership of Hans Herr and other.
- They settled on the east bank of a run now known as Blue Ball run, sometimes between the spring of 1721 and the summer of 1723, where he died at the early age of 55 years, leaving his widow to manage the farm of 365 acres, with a family of eight children, the youngest of whom did not arrive at the full age of 21 years until 1765; her two only sons being respectively nine and fourteen years old.
