Chancery Cause involving 4290 acres in Greenbrier County that was patented by Henry Trent and his son John Blake Trent. John Pate complains that he is owed title to that land and has paid Henry Trent and John Blake Trent on 1 May 1794 and on 1 Oct 1795, but Henry Trent has since died and Pate has not received title to the land. This statement indicates that Henry Trent was alive on 1 Oct 1795. Pate further names the heirs of Henry Trent as: Obediah H. Trent, George Goodwin who married Sarah Trent [a later page calls her Sally Trent], Dudley Callaway who married Patsey Trent, Thomas Mitchell who married Edy Trent, and John B. Trent and Patsy his wife, together with others unknown. The Court granted the Plaintiffs request.
