Henry Snyder lived in the Clove, left there and went to Albany and married Mary Newman (She had a daughter by first husband, Anna, and she lived there and went to school in the Clove). When Henry became old and helpless, Mary left and she and her daughter went to Albany. Henry came to live with son William and Zilpha in the Clove.

Mary Newman and her daughter were Irish with red hair and freckles.
