Information on Henry Neale
The children of Henry Neale are identified in the will of his wife, Mary Gardiner (who had married a Lancaster after Henry died in 1742):
- LANCASTER, MARY, - Written 16 Sep, 1765; Proved 8 Oct, 1765
- To son James Neale, Negro man Bobb, Negro woman Nell, Negro boy Dick and Negro boy Matthias. Next child of Negro Nell to grand dau. Mary Neale.
- Son James Neale tract called "Chancellor Point" near St. Mary's.
- To son Gerrard Neale, right to tract formerly in Possession Of William Deacon.
- To son Richard Neale, Negro woman Jane,
- To son Gerrard Neale Negro man Ned and Negro woman Bess and boy called Jess and Negro girl Monica,
- To son James, mares and horse,
- To dau. Tereca 1/4 part of horses, cattle and hogs.
- To dau Heneritta, Negro girl Frank, furniture, horse, It being due her from her father's estate

- To son William and hrs., 500 A. leased to Cha. Rocks, Nat. Freeman and Thomas Marrish; and all land at Matta Woman bou. of Geo. Hinson; sd. son dying without issue or during minority, to son Benj. and hrs.; and personalty at age of 21.
- To wife Elizabeth and hrs., interest in 340 A. lying at Upper Machoteck, Va., lately in poss. of Michaell Webb and Benja. Berryman; 1/3 personal estate.
- To daus. Mary Deaton, formerly Vanswerring, Mary Tawney, formerly Neale, Ann, now wife of Mr. Edward Cole, and Margaret, personalty.
- To dau. Mildred, £30 at age or marriage.
