    Dr, McCoy Fatally Ill
    Dr. H.F. McCoy of La Porte, Texas, is fatally ill at his home in that city of an abcess formation. A telegram was received Tuesday by Mr. and Mrs. George Hawk of Marshfield, announcing the illness of Dr. McCoy, and stating that his recovery is impossible. Dr. McCoy is well known in Athens county, and for many years practiced his profession at Chauncey. About ten years ago he went to La Porte where has since resided. He is the brother of William McCoy of Athens and New McCoy of Marshfield.

    Dr. McCoy Dies at Harper, Kansas-Former Athens County Man passed away Wednesday. Practiced in Chauncey for Twenty years, going west about Ten years ago-Funeral Sunday.
    News of the death of Dr. H.F. McCoy was received here yesterday. The news of his death comes as a sad shock to many friends in Athens, Chauncey and, in fact all this part of Athens county. The deceased was born and raised about five miles west of this city and went West about 10 years ago. For about twenty years he practiced his profession at Chauncey, being one of the pioneer physicians at that place. His death occurred on Wednesday.
    He is survived by a wife, one daughter, four brothers and one sister. His death is the first in the family of McCoy children. His brothers are William and John McCoy of Fultonham, and August McCoy of Middleport. His sister is Mrs. Lena Bidders of Union. His wife was Miss Elizabeth Hawk, of The Plains.
    The remains will be brought to this city, arriving Saturday evening. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the First M.E. church conducted by the Masonic fraternity of which he was a member. Interment will be made at Union.

    Funeral of Dr. McCoy
    The remains of the late Dr. McCoy who died at his home in Harper, Kansas Wednesday, will arrive in this city at 11 o’clock tonight and will be at once taken to the home of his brother William McCoy on West Union Street. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock in the First M.E. church. The services will be in charge of the Knights Templar. Interment will be made at the Union cemetery, west of Athens.

    Dr McCoy dies at Harper, Kansas, formerly of Athens and Chauncey. He was survived by his wife, Elizabeth Hawk and a daughter.
