Henry found his father after he had slit his throat. He started scream ing so loud he damaged his vocal cords and was unable to speak from the n on. Hewas a stone mason and some of his beautiful work is in Appala chia, Wise County, VA. On the 1930 Hancock County, TN census he was age 54, living in the hous ehold of John Jones age 39, his wife Nancy (Buckles) age 43, and daught ers Helen age 7 and Ellen age 2 3/12. Henry was listed as "uncle". Jo hn Jones was the son of Henry's sister Virginia.
