He and wife Hannah are believed to be fictional, created from records of Henry Mauldin of MD, born 1758, who migrated to GA and Laban Mauldin shown in Laurens Co, SC, in 1790. These were two different individuals. Hannah, shown in 1800 census in Pendleton, SC, was the wife of Harris Mauldin, proven by deed records.
