Married twice, first on 20 May 1800 to Mary Hyre/Hire (b. 4 1784, Lewis Co. WVA; d. 16 Jul 1835), dau. of Jacob and Elizabeth (Powers) Hyre. His second wife was Elizabeth Shreves Jackson married 24 Apr. 1836.
