From a great-granddaughter: "Henry and Anna Marie had 2 children George Vincent Hovey (my grandfather) who was born11/12/1877 (Dysart, Tama, Iowa) and died 05/24/1950 (Auburn, Kiing, Washington). and Katherine Lenore Hovey Drought. My information shows that my grandfather grew up in Minnesota. When I was a kid we visited Moms cousins once in Fergus Falls Minnesota so I guess Katherine's family stayed there. Back to Henry, Mom has some of his military papers that show he served with company B 15 regiment Illinois Vol. Infantry, Reenlisted 12/13/1863 Camp Cowin Mississippi. Discharged Company B 15th or 13th Regiment (calvery) 05/30/1865 at Springfield Ill, by reason of telegram from war Dept.dated 07/03/1865. His discharge is dated 07/03/1865. He was appointed Corpral 10/18/1861."
