About 1745 Henry Flowers moved to Edgecombe Co., NC with his family. He met and probably married his wife, Patsy Savage, here and they moved to lower regions of NC probably right along the SC border.

Henry got a land grant for 200 acres on Catfish Creek on 4 Feb. 1757 along the Pee Dee River in Craven (now Marion) Co., SC. The Gasque Cem., where Henry and Patsy are buried, is located in about the center of this tract of land.

Henry and his sons were able to amass large tracts of land in Marion Co., SC for supplying provisions during the Revolutionary War.
