AGED PRESIDENT OF WEST NEWTON BANK SUCCUMBS TO OLD AGE

West Newton, March 9, Henry Croushore, president of the First National bank of West Newton, died Thursday evening at his residence from illness due to his advance age. Mr. Croushore was born at Adamsburg, February 10, 1827 and was going on his 91st year. In 1867 Mr. Croushore came to West Newton and has since resided here. He first entered into the tannery business and then took up real estate and handling of coal properties. He was one of the wealthiest men in the county.

When the First National bank here was founded in 1895, Mr. Croushore was made its first president and has been its president ever since. Two sons, George L Croushore, of Pittsburgh and Rev. Harry J. Croushore of Freeburg, Pa., survive. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services at 1 o'clock Monday from his late residence. The family request that friends do not send flowers.
