1887 - From Colorado's Health Care Heritage: Dr. Henry Herbert Bucknum - a 26-year-old native of Parma, Michigan, who had just received his MD from the University of Michigan - moved to Denver, where for three years he was superintendent of St. Luke's Hospital. When Gross medical College opened shortly after his arrival in Colorado, Dr. H. Herbert Bucknum became professor of osteology and demonstrator of anatomy. He also served as secretary of the Araphoe County Medical Society.

1892 - Recorded in Denver Colorado City Directory as H Herbert BUCKNAM, physician, at 14-15 Barth Blk, 16th corner Stout, residing at 1253 Broadway [with father].
