Accoring to the Port Jervis Evening Gazette, Henry Bross of Ten Mile River, Sullivan County, died Wednesday, Sept. 12,(1877), aged 71. He was born in New Jersey, and in 1829 married Hannah Barlow, and settled at Ten Mile River, near his late residence. He was an old lumberman and was well known in this section. He was a member of the Cochecton Baptist Church. His wife had been dangerously ill for four or five weeks, but was able to attend funeral services which took place from the Baptist church of that place. Three sons are living, one being in the Black Hills.
