This the Henry Bond who went to Hebron Academy and them Sept 1809 when he was admitted to the freshman class of Dartmojth College and graduated in Aug 1813.

He then studied medicine under Dr. Cyrus Perkins who was Professor of Anatomy at Darmouth. Dec 1816 Mr Ond receied his medical degree and commenced the practice in Concord, NH.

In Nov 1819 he went to Philadelphia to attend lectures at the U of Penn and stayed to practice medicine in Philadelphia inn the spring of 1820. He was well thought of by his peers and he himself was modest and retiring to a fault. He had energy, perseverance and talents. His chief branch of practice was abstetrics . His mechanical as well as surgical knowledge were particularly displayed in contriving some useful instruments and apparatus, which are now in general use by the profession and which will long perpetuate his mane as one of the benefactors of mankind (Memoir of Henry Bond, M.DS. by Horatio Gates Jones, corresponding secretary of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania)

But the great work of De. Bond, to which he devoted the latter part of his life and in which he became so deeply engrossingly interested was "The Genealogies and history of Watertown" which is almost unrivalled by any similar work ever published. He began in 1840 to be Genealogy of the Bond Family, but found so much info that he included all the early families of his native town.
