Henry Bohne was born in Hanover, Germany. He married, Mary (Mattie) Pauline Schmidt on May 21, 1896 in Fort Wayne, Allen County, Ind. They lived in Ind. and moved to St. Joseph County, Michigan. They lived in the Three Rivers, Park and Centerville, Michigan areas. He had two children Frederick Bohne and Minnie Helen (Bohne, Harris) Lutin.

When my sisters and I were children, my grandma, Minnie Helen Lutin, would take us with her to the Mendon Cemetery and we would put flowers on the graves of Fred, Henry and Mary Bohne. We will always remember this, even though we didn't know any of the Bohne's.
