(2) Salem [blank] March 1674/5 Henry Bennett (this marriage record as published from the court copy gives the groom's name as "William," but in deeds he is called "Henry," and these seem to be the more reliable records [ELR 6:66, 9:64]).

    ELIZABETH (2) GOODELL, daughter of Robert and Margaret (Lazenby) Goodell (sic see Great Migration), was born at Salem, Mass., 1649.and died after 1692.
    She married (1) John Smith of Salem Village and (2) March 1674/5, Henry Bennett of Salem. As her father stated in his will, he and her mother lived with Elizabeth until his death. She was a widow in 1692, living with her son Abraham.
    Children of John and Elizabeth (Goodell) Smith:
    (1) John, c. 1656; married Feb, 6, 1689, Ann Skerry,
    (2) Mary, c, 1658; married Mar, 20? 167?/8, Mark Haskell
    (3) Sarah, October 20, 1660; married John Clark.
    (4) Elizabeth, June 5, 1662; married Humphrey Horrell.
    (5) Abraham, baptised August 28, 1670; by deed and release from
    his brother and sisters, he acquired the Goodell homestead which had been left by his grandfather to his mother, also the property deeded to her in 1678. He conveyed the estate to his son, Nathan in 1740.
    Child of Henry and Elizabeth (Goodell) Bennett:
    (1) Grace, February 16, 1676; died few days.
