OBITUARY- Lee County Times, Paw Paw, Illinois, Thurs., March 17, 1910, p. 4, Col. 3- HENRY BEEMER DEAD "Henry Beemer, son of Alexander and Arseneth Beemer ws born March 24, 1833 in Luzerne Co., Penn, and died at his home on March 12, 1910, his age being 76 years, eleven months and 16 days. He moved to Illinois with his parents in the year 1849. In the year 1858 he was married to Elizabeth Miller. Several children were born unto this union, one son dying in 1898 and four dying in infancy and in the year 1880 he was married to Addie M. Powell who has stood faithfully by his side for thirty years. One son and a daughter were born to them. In 1893 Mr. Beemer retired from farming and moved near Paw Paw, Illinois on what is called the Damon farm. He resided there 12 years and built a beautiful home, moving in the spring of 1905 into Paw Paw and made that his home for a few months. For the five years since then he has lived on the old home place in Beemerville. His wife and four children survive him; Freeman of Germania, Iowa, Delia Argraves of Aberdeen. S. D.; Luella Bradley of Compton; and Lee at home; three brothers and one sister, Levi of Compton; Judson of Gravity, IA; Frank of Compton and Mrs. Dennis Miller of Paw Paw. The funeral services were held at the home in Beemerville. At the request of the deceased Rev. W. C. Scott officiated..."
