    "2 Henry (Ambrose), b. ±1613, house carpenter, Hampton, and moved with his work. Grant 1640, freeman 18 May 1642. He sold his house to Mr. Wheelwright 20 Oct. 1647, but presum. built himself another, as he was still in Hampton in 1649. In Salisbury 1650, Boston 1654, Charlestown 1656, but of Boston at death. Grand jury 1649, jury 1650. … Adm. 19 Nov. 1658 to widow Susannah, who m. 2 Oct. 1663 John Severance of Salisbury and in 1692 had lived 10 years his widow. Ch. Ebenezer, b, c. 1640, in court 1669. Samuel, bap. 25 July 1641, in 1670 had bot a boat. Mrs. Hope Ambrose in petition for divorce 3 Sept. 1678 recited that Mr. Samuel Ambrose over 4 years ago abandoned self and ch. without maintenance, and keeps another woman in Jamaica. Two ch. recorded in Salisb. Henry, b. June 1649, Salisb., weaver; m. Oct. 1672 Susannah widow of Timothy Worcester. Lived in 'Salisbury alias Hampton;' both joined the church 16 Oct. 1716. 3 ch. rec. Abigail, b. 28 Dec. 1654, m. Oct. 1672 Wm. Osgood."

    "Henry Ambrose, born about 1613. He lived in Hampton, NH from 1640 to 1649, when he removed to Salisbury. He subsequently removed to Charlestown about 1652, to Boston in 1653 or 1654; and returned to Salisbury, where he died in 1658. He was made freeman May 18, 1642; and was a house carpenter by trade. His wife Susannah survived him, and married, secondly, John Severance of Salisbury before 1664; being alive in 1670."
