Clayton Allen was married twice. First to Jeanne Inez Wilson and then to Patricia Jacquelyn Franklin.

He was also in the military stationed in Korea and Jtami, Japan in 1952. He served in the US Navy Reserve GM1C USNR.

He is buried in Linden Cemetery in Linden Florida. Part of the Linden Church of God.

He died of heart problems and cancer.
