Per Logan Co., IL History, Henry came with his parent to America, settling in New York, on Staten Island, July 1842. They lived there two years and then via the Erie Canal and the Lakes, stopping near Lafayette, Indiana, over the winter, came in the spring of 1845 to Sheridan Township.

Buried in Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland, Logan Co., IL.
