"Franz Pieterse Clauw was in Beverwyck in 1656; Kinderhook in 1680 where he had a saw mill, the first in the locality. He had two sons, Hendrick and Jurriaan. Hendrick married Cornelia Andriesse Sharp, Oct. 14th 1685."
