Gaylord was coming down a hill on his bicycle from the distillery where he is employed, when the forks of his bicycle either broke and thrown him or he lost control of his wheel on the hill and had fallen with it. He suffered two factures on the left side of his head and his left side arms and legs were bruised and lacerated.
