Helen's obituary reads, "MONROEVILLE - HELEN J. JOHNSTON, 72, of Monroeville, passed away Monday, March 29, 2004, 6:15 p.m. at her home following an illness of nine months. Born Jan. 21, 1932, in Monroeville, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Marjorie (Ryan) Wagner. She was a homemaker and was employed as a clerk at Countryside Grocery in Monroeville for the past two years. She married Russell K. Johnston, July 8, 1949, in Morganfield, Ky. Surviving in addition to her husband of Monroeville, are daughter, Mrs. Brent (Kathy) "Koce" Noll; son, Randy P. (Patti) Johnston; daughter, Mrs. James (Tracy L.) Garland, all of Monroeville; sister, Delores (Babe) Richman of Hoagland; brother, Joseph L. (Judy) Wagner; sisters, Mrs. Thomas (Judy A.) Rothgeb, Mary Jo Wilhelm, Julie M. Schwartz, all of Monroeville; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley "Sonny" Wagner. Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, with the Rev. Milton Wilson officiating. Visitation is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, and one hour before service on Friday. Burial in Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Preferred memorials to the donor's choice.
