Helen E. Stahl, 77, Bradner, died at 9:15 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2007, at Wood CO Hospital, Bowling Green.

She was born July 10, 1929 in Wood CO to Floyd and Lucille (Nixon) Swartz. She married Fred C. Stahl on June 6, 1948 in Greenup, Ky. and he passed away on Aug. 6, 2006.

She is survived by five sons, Richard L. Stahl, Lamont, Okla.; James A. Stahl, Bradner; Norman G. Stahl, Risingsun; Jeffery C. Stahl, Lamont, Okla.; Mark A. Stahl, Girton; one daughter, Kathy L. Shivak, Genoa; four brothers, Harry Swartz, Fostoria; Donald Swartz, Texas; Irvin Swartz, Fostoria; Lawrence Swartz, Dayton; six sisters, Florence Peoples, Columbus; Dorothy Roe, Bowling Green; Ilene Edwards, Bradner; Rosie Kimble, Jerry City; Annie Myers, Lima; Sue Price, Fostoria; 24 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Rolland "Ron" Stahl; two brothers, Ivan Swartz and Dale Swartz; one sister, Pauline Galbraith; three grandchildren, Nick Stahl, Crystal Stahl and Allison Stahl; and son-in-law, Robert Shivak.

Mrs. Stahl formerly worked as a custodian at Bowling Green State University. She was a member of Girton Church of God, Girton. She graduated from Woodville High School in 1947.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2007, at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne, with Rev. Challen Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Bradner Cemetery, Bradner.

Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of Barndt Funeral Home.
