Helen Inez Shellhammer, 84, of Coldwater, MI, and Bradenton, FL, and formerly of Toledo, OH, passed away February 21, 2005, in Woods of Manatee Springs, Bradenton, FL. She was born on May 14, 1920, in Toledo, OH, to William F. and Nellie (Shovar) Schutt. Helen was a 50 year member of Yondota Chapter #317, loved to play bingo and was an avid reader and crossword puzzle worker. Surviving Helen are her children, Robert Shellhammer Jr., Thomas (Pam) Shellhammer, Marcia Krieg, Jeannine (Jack) Hardy, Patricia (John) Spears, Steven Shellhammer; sister, Freda "Sally" Spaulding and brother, Clarence (Joanne) Schutt; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Shellhammer, Sr.; brothers, James G. Schutt and Fred W. Schutt; grandchildren, Johnny Shellhammer, Belinda Krieg and Joseph Shellhammer; son-in-law, Larry Krieg, and daughters-in-law, Edith Shellhammer and Mary P. Shellhammer. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Thursday from 5-9 p.m. where Order of Eastern Star Yondota Chapter services will be held at 8 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Friday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with interment following in Toledo Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Helen's name may be sent to the American Cancer Society. |
