Helen Mitchell of Caressant Care, Listowel, and formerly Brussels passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, April 10, 2001. She was in her 80th year.
Helen was born on Aug. 30, 1921 in Grey Twp., the beloved daughter of the late Percy and Annie Mitchell.
She will be sadly missed by her cousins Emerson Mitchell and his wife Phyllis of Walton and Mrs. Lillian Beer of Hensall. She was also loved by her many cousins in the west, her family and friends.
Helen was predeceased by her sister Luella Mitchell, cousins Jack Mitchell and Frank Mitchell and special aunts Tenie and Lizzie Dickson.
Friends were received by the family from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Schimanski Family Funeral Home, Brussels, where the service was conducted in the chapel on Thursday, April 12 at 2 p.m. with Mrs. Joan Golden of Brussels United Church officiating and Mrs Grace Jutzi as pianist.
Carrying floral tributes were Mandy and Jamie Mitchell. Pallbearers were Gordon Mitchell, Ross Mitchell, Doug Mitchell, Neil Mitchell, Steve Beers and David Beers.
Spring interment was in Brussels Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flower, memorial donations may be made to Brussels Church Memorial Fund or to the charity of one's choice.
