Helen was the daughter of John Boswell and Talitha Matthews. She married the first time to Carter Skaggs, son of Jesse Skaggs and Elizabeth Graham. She was widowed abt 1876, and then married Solomon Moyers. She was then widowed again and married a third time to Benjamin Clardy Knowles.
