Obituary

HAZEL C. MASTERS

Miss Hazel C. Masters, the only child of Elmer and Ida Corll Masters, died at the family residence, 351 Glenaven avenue, at 2:30 p.m. Friday after a few days' illness with spinal meningitis. Until last Monday Miss Masters had been in her usual health but on that day while at work at the Strouss-Ilirahberg company she became ill and in a short time her condition became extremely critical.
Miss Masters were born October 13, 1893, near Warren but spent most of her life in North Jackson. She graduated from the high school of that place and then attended Hall's business college for one year. For three years she had been a book-keeper at the Strouss-Ilirshberg company's store so that she had been in Youngstown altogether about four years. Her parents came to Youngstown in March of this year. Miss Masters was united with Trinity M.E. church on Easter Sunday. She also belonged to the Itegina lodge of Macabees. She was well known and very popular among the many friends she had made in Youngstown and her sudden passing will be sincerely mourned both in North Jackson and in Youngstown and much sympathy is felt for the parents in the loss of their only daughter.
The funeral will be held Monday with services at the residence at 1 pm and at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time in the Union church at North Jackson. Rev. C.R. Havighurst of Trinty church and Rev. Jerrow will officiate. Interment will be made in the cemetery at North Jackson.
